Looking for mercruiser exhaust manifolds. Would like the one piece model for 1997 4.3. (Part number 807294)
In the event I have to convert to the 2 piece model, will they be the same height once installed as the 1 piece version?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,..... You Don't want 1 piece manifolds, they're All junk, right from the start,....

Yes, the conversions will be 'bout the same overall diamentions,...

Donno whether Merc offers a conversion set of the newest "Dry-joint" manifolds,...
That's probably the Best bet, especially if boatin' in the brine,....

I did the conversion 2 years ago on that same mtr. I bought the kit from https://www.perfprotech.com/blog/articles/marine-exhaust after much reading and searching, and so far it has worked great it is coated on inside and outside made of aluminum Comes with everything you need to convert it from one piece bat wings to a 2 piece design bolts and gaskets and sealent were all included i cant remember if flappers were included or if i bought them. but that takes a special flapper which i changed at that time also I use the boat in salt water but pull it every night and flush and wash.
