Exhaust/"Pee-holes"

Hi everyone, needed some help with my motor. I've got a 96 Johnson 112 spl. Recently i changed out the impeller and ran the boat with earmuffs on. The pressure was great and water was coming out of everywhere it should have. 2 months later i cranked her up to check it again and I'm getting no stream from the pee hole and water is not spurtting out of the two exhaust holes on the backside. Any ideas why this might be? Perhaps the thermostat? It's been sitting in my garage since my repair. Can't figure out why it was fine and all the sudden it's not flowing.

Please help! Thanks.

Did you run the motor long enough for the thermostat to heat up and open?

Run a line, like a weed-whacker line, up your tell tale hose. Mud daubers like to make nests in there.

Re: Exhaust/"Pee-holes"

Thanks for the tips. I did some more research on this here in the forum. I found the line and squeezed it a little. I undid it and blew in it...nothing. Then i sucked in and a bunch of debris came out in my mouth. After a couple times it stopped and i tried the weed eater line. Cranked her up and sure enough...started "peeing". How simple! And to think, the expert at my boat store was sure i burned up the impeller which i just replaced...
