Exhaust Riser Sensors?

I’m in the process of rebuilding my VP 5.0GL-C and I came across these sensors and for the life of me can’t remember where they go. I took lots of pics before disassembly but the exhaust risers were already off and I’m thinking maybe they go in there? My new risers are from Barr and don’t have any open holes but there are a few plugs that can be unscrewed that look like these would fit in. Can anyone confirm that that’s where these go. I don’t have any EGT gauges on my instrument panel so I’m not sure exactly what they’d be measuring or what they’d be reporting to, but that seems to be the only think they’d fit. Do these go to an alarm, or a gauge? I have the same Barco replacement elbow and noticed that capped off port, was thinking maybe install an alarm if so?

I’m really not sure. I don’t have any gauges for exhaust temp so I assume it’s an alarm, and I think on newer fuel injected boats they will put the boat into “limp mode” if they sense an overheat.
