Re: Extra Long Leg

They use 25 and 30 inch legs on cape cod bay to make sure that no waves will come crashing in on the stern

Hey Gus -- what's the current length, and what are you after?

The current leg is a standard long leg, so i'm led to believe, its on a mates boat and he needs a longer leg otherwise he will need to modify his transom. obviously if a longer leg is available it would be preferable to modifying he transom.

Re: Extra Long Leg

terms might be a little misleading -- different meanings to diff. people. For that reason, I think it would be good to get measurements of the existing motor leg and the boat transom. If you provide the measurements, there will be no misunderstanding. "Long" normally means 20 inches (for a 20" transom).

Re: Extra Long Leg

The factory made two engine shaft lengths that year: a standard long shaft at 20" and the model listed above: should be the extra long (25") mode. A 30" was not offered that year. If you are looking for 30" components, best bet is to contact the vendor that boobie posted.
