Re: f-150 ecoboost

2011 F150 xlt super cab 2 WD pulling Cobalt 210 on tandem axle trailer. Truck does great. Pulls the 3650 lb boat (dry weight not including trailer) just fine. No problem pulling out of prettt steep wet ramps. No wandering at freeway speeds. Stops great with surge brakes on one axle. Mileage goes from about 22 highway when not towing down to 12 - 14 while towing. Plenty of power. Truck will light the tires up if you punch it while going about 20 when not towing. Overall we are very happy with the truck.

Re: f-150 ecoboost

I test drove one last week and was blown away by it!

The driver electronics suite was completely amazing. It has sooo many options, many of which were related to towing. The integrated brake controller was cool as was the backup camera. It sounds just like a V8, except at WOT, when you can barely hear the turbos spool up. The backseat had loads of space.

For about 2 seconds, I actually thought about trading my 2010 Camaro SS for the truck! (I pre-ordered my camaro in 2006! It's my dream car)

Forgot to mention the electronics. They are nice. Also, if your trailer does start swerving the traction control will kick in and stop the sway of the truck. A nice feature if you tow on the freeways and semis are passing you.

Re: f-150 ecoboost

I have a 2011 F150 Supercab with the Ecoboost. (3.55 gears.) The truck doesn't even bat an eye towing my 17' bass boat. Maybe 2000lb. Non towing highway is 21.5mpg and towing is 16.8mpg.
