Hey guys
My 2001 F100 has an issue that I cannot figure out and the mechanic is having trouble with it too.
Motor runs great, idles well, WOT great. Everything is in good order. Except
about two or three times a day especiallly after running fairly hard for a few minutes, when I back off the throttle quickly and it returns to an Idle I get an intermitant alarm buzzer. If I pull the RPM back over about 1300 it goes away or if I turn it off and then start it again it goes away. Then once I start going again no more alarm.
Mechanic said I could have an oil pump problem at low RPM but said he checked it and once RPM get up it has plenty of pressure. And to really get into it will cost a whole lot of money that I do not want to put into this engine. Would rather save up money and repower anyway.
But if anyone has any Ideas I would love to hear them. My plan right now if this is a problem is just to leave it till it gets worse or fails completley.
