F150 Exhaust leak?

I have an F150TXR. There is a exhaust port just below the rear cowl lock. There has been this somewhat wet black substance bleeding down the back of the motor. It also bleeds out around the bottom of the plastic cover also.
I took it back to the dealer last year during break in after a powerhead replacement. They acknowledged that it was bleeding something and they said run it, don't worry, it'll probably stop in time.
Well, I now have 90 hours on it and it still does it. Today during my usual day after clean and inspection (it's a pilot thing. I do it to everything mechanical) I removed the plastic wrap around cover and its black with suet inside. Is there an exhaust leak? Where is this coming from? Is it something that needs attention?

TXR indicates its an 06 or later production run. what happened to the first powerhead?
my personal F150 doesnt bleed black stuff. a small amount of carbon buildup is to be expected,its exhaust.
however running black goo usually indicates a combustion/fuel issue.

Something came apart in the balance unit and sent parts all through the motor so yamaha replaced the powerhead.
I raised quite a stink about it because my new 2007 boat came with a 2005 motor that went bang fifteen hours and five weeks into ownership. I still think the boat manufacturer and the dealer took a big crap on me by not replacing the motor due to time in service but oh well, that's all water under the bridge now. They won, I lost, life goes on.
I have returned it and they did a download and a leak down and said nothing wrong, go away. I have ask many times to check for just what you said. For three months they kept telling me yamaha would send someone to water test it and do things they couldn't. I got tired of calling and took the hint and went away.

dunno what to tell you on the 05 motor on an 07 hull, other than the date of manufacture is clearly written on the stbd bracket as well as the EPA decal.
the 05 and early 06 balancer assy had an issue, the seriel number break in mid production on the 06 run signifies the design change.
but there is something going on with your rig, some sooting is normal not wet oily stuff.
not much Yamaha at Kennesaw can do that a well trained tech at a dealership cannot.
does the dealership your using employ a Master tech ?

Yeah, the date is on the motor and I saw it the day I went to pick the boat up. I was ready to pull the plug on the purchase until they explained the concept. I understand why they do this and I would do the same thing if I were building motor's. The problem started when it blew up four weeks and fifteen hours in service. I'm about over all that now. I think I have a good motor. Yamaha treated me good by sending a topnotch tech to do the job. He continues to stay involved and that goes a long way with me.
I realize that some sooting is normal. I use the ringfree and that may cause sooting just in doing what it is designed to do.
I changed the spark plugs even when the ones in it looked good. You wouldn't believe the difference it made. It was almost like loading up another 25 hp. The old ones had 100 hours and broke in two engines. Not saying that could damage or ware out plugs, but who knows.
Anyway, I dropped the boat off last Wednesday to the service center to have the trim switch changed out in the control lever. Friday when I picked it up the tech showed me his F150 and it was sooting like mine, but his is dry.
He said he checked everything; ignition system is solid, induction system is solid, compression is high with little variation between cylinders. They maintain I have a 100% motor.
I guess its me. I care for it like an infant and drive it like a slave. It's like a cheating woman, their hard to trust once they lay down on you.
