Hi all
Finally got my boat in the water and running. Had a new trim tilt assembly put on, new water pump, and thermostat. She has a 1991 90 HP Mercury with great compression. Motored for an hour got her up to 3/4 throttle felt strong. Returned to the dock to get the truck and shut her off. 15 minutes later I run back to get her on the trailer, hold the key in to choke for ten seconds and then attempt to start.... will not get going. This goes on for a while until I finally have to throw a line over to my truck and pull her in. Drive home from the ramp about 10 minutes, wash the boat, and put the ear muffs on and turn the key without choking and she starts right up.
Did I flood the engine at the dock by holding the choke in???
When she would not start the fly wheel was turning, the motor was getting gas.
Any help????
Thanks
