Hey all-
I'm going to run the boat in a tub this weekend (I just can't trust muffs...I was attacked by a dog wearing muffs as a child). I have a container that should work (big rubbermaid tub) but I want to make sure it's deep enough. What part of the lower unit needs to be submerged? It's an alpha one. There is a vertical line of 5 or 6 holes, which I assume are the intake ports. Then there's a horizontal ridge or strake, and then one more hole on each side...does that top hole need to go under or is it that an outbound port?
Other than that...don't put it in gear, keep the hose on so the water doesn't heat up, keep the RPM's reasonable...any other things to keep in mind? Is it loud?
Thanks guys.
