Father John "the child molester" Geoghan, the priest that set off the child abuse scandal in the Catholic church here in Boston, was murdered in prison here yesterday. He was stragled to death by another prisoner while being held in "protective custody" for his own protection.<br /><br />It seems justice is dispensed more quickly and more fully in prison than it is in the "real world"

I tell you what Ralph, there are a lot of bad people in prison, but hardly none of them like child molestors, and I knew that when they put him in there he would not last long.<br /><br />All it took was to find out what he was in for and his days were numbered.<br /><br />I have nothing for anyone that would hurt a child anyway.

Im trying to word this to not offend anyone (unlike normally) .... BUT doesnt having a gay bishop... pastor... etc. kind of act like a stepping stone to this? Were OK with a gay pastor.... now were OK with a gay bishop???...Now we find this old guy decides he likes younger people.... NOW hes a molester.... Thats BU__SH_T hes been that way from day one were just learning to accept it...... Sorry im glad hes dead.

Im not saying that ALL or ANY gay people are molestors. BUT I do beleive it is a stepping stone.

Sorry Rod Knocking, but I have to disagree.<br /><br />Studies show that gays are no more likely to molest children than heterosexuals. Some of these priests molested girls also/anyway.<br /><br />Child molestation, like rape, is really more about control than sex.<br /><br />The whole celibate catholic priest thing, was initially a church financial decision and was humanly wrong from the start. <br /><br />Although there are many dedicated, excellent catholic priests, the celibacy rule did attract more than it's fair share of men with "issues", some quite severe, as we have seen.<br /><br />The fact that the church was covering it up for years certainly did not help, making church leaders just as bad.<br /><br />The whole thing is pretty sad.<br /><br />Marty

The point is gay or not gay, it's a child molester, plain and simple, reguardless if he is gay or not.<br /><br />Still don't and never will make it right to harm a child in any way.<br /><br />I have nothing for anyone that would harm a child, and would do what I could to stop it when I see it going on, which I have, twice.<br /><br />I'm not saying what the other inmate did was right, but either inside or outside, it was just a matter of time.

Its more than sad Marty, its repulsive.., what if one of those kids were yours.???.. And for the GAY thing, sure a gay man would want a younger guy just as a straight man would want a younger girl.... not to the extreme of kids though.People in the clergy are there ( supposively) to help people, not fondle them. What studies prove this? who did the studies?

Justice was served pure and simple. It was just dispensed in a unusual manner.<br /><br />Unfortunately the priesthood's code of celebacy, coupled with the church's teaching that homesexuality is a sin, drove sexual deviants like this into the priesthood. At first they joined as a way to avoid their homosexuals feelings and avoid sex, then they discoved they were in a position of power over their temptations and they gave into them. They ruined many lives and committed unspeakable sins. Strangling at the hands of a common criminal is justice enough for these devils.

What the other inmate did was right. If I where in jail for murder, and where not gonna ever see the outside walls again, I would have killed the ***** too.<br /><br />I'm just very surprised that it was able to happen, I was at the prisen that the whole thing when down at, I just don't see how no one could have stoped it. [I was at the prisen haveing a phone conversation with a family friend, with a pleace of glass between me and him]<br /><br />My theary is:<br />A gard put the two together so the baby rapest could be killed.......and it would not surprize me it a gard is charged with something with in the next few weeks.
