Fiberglass prep

Finally good weather here. just got done glassing plywood. my question is do I need to sand out fiberglass/resin before I put outdoor carpet adhesive down and then carpet or is it not necessary. I am using Roberts outdoor adhesive R6040. Thanks

For best adhesion, I would scuff the surface to rough it up a bit, then lay your glue and carpet.
