I just bought a boat and there are several screw in snaps that have been stripped out. There are also the screws that hold the front hand rails have been stripped out. The holes are a little bigger, so they need to be filled in some how.

I have all of the the parts to replace, but not sure about how to go out it.

Two ways.

Bondo makes a marine epoxy stick.... cut off a chunk, knead it and press it into the hole....

Now the choice..... let it dry and redrill the proper size hole for the screw or put the screw in with the epoxy which will never come out.

Hello Greenerob..

Just one thing..can you get to the back side of your snaps or screws ?

If you can..then you can get "through bolt" snaps ( basically snaps with machine threads that have a nut ). same with your rails..if you can bolt it.. then bed and bolt ..

YD.
