Figuring out my cruiser's water systems.... confused

I bought a 1988 Cruisers Inc. esprit 3370 that I am doing some work on before launching... getting closer to launch date and still trying to get to know all the "systems". Cruisers doesn't have plumbing diagrams for this boat, so I am on my own - with all of you to help, please!

So, I see two fittings for Water on the boat. One is next to the gas fill and the sanitation tank pump out fitting. I haven't opened it (just saw it today) but the fitting looks similar to the crap pump out one. I THINK this is to fill the potable water tank, right?

The other one is on the stern next to the shore power fittings. It either says "water" on it or i assumed that it was because it looks like a hose fitting with a screw on cap. The cap says "PAR" on it. Is this maybe to feed a washdown pump? I do have a stern shower set up, but it has both H and C knobs so I assumed it was likely off the potable water system. I haven't seen an other washdown hoses/fittings but I may have missed something. Any guesses?

Also, I haven't been able to diagram the potable water system. Is the main holding tank typically pressurized or are the pumps after the tank? Also, I expected the water tank would be near the center line - don't see one there, at least in the engine area - could I have water tanks on both port and starboard or is it maybe one tank on the centerline further forward of the engines where I can'rt really get to easily?

Any thoughts welcome.... THANKS.

Like a camper, you will typically have two. One to fill the on-board water tank and the other to hook up direct water line while at a dock. The one at the back of the boat will be for connecting to a pressurized shore water system. This bypasses the tank (make sure you use an inline pressure regulator - get at walmart cheap). This would typically be hooked up with you are docked at a facility with shore power and water service. The other water fitting is to fill your tank (you'll want to sanitize the system before you use it).

Tanks are not pressurized. There is a pump after the tank. It will turn on and off as needed to keep the system pressurized as you use it.

The water tank can be located anywhere. It won't necessarily be located on the centerline of the boat. That said, it is usually accessible. Look under cabinets, seating or any other storage area.

just a small thing to add, find the filter and clean or replace, ours is on the water tank side of pump.

Thanks for the help. I'll be at the boat tomorrow and chec it out further, armed with some basic knowledge now.
