I've been trying to get this motor running for almost a year. If you read my other posts, you will get a better idea of what I been through. I would like to thank ALL of you who helped me and gave me great advice, especially Daselbee (Doug) who has spent plenty time on the phone with me. Anyways, I brought it to a mechanic and I had a cracked carburetor which was sucking air at high speed and the motor would bog down or not run full speed. So he replaced the carb and now the motor is running great. I guess I overtightened the bolt when reinstalling the carb to the plate and thats where it was cracked. He also replaced the idle and intermediate jets with smaller ones to get rid of the lean pop at idle. The motor has never run better. The only problem is now I'm over my head because I spent over 1500 just trying to get it to run correctly. Thats 3 times as much as I paid for the motor in the 1st place. Guess I should have left it to the pros. Anyways, just wanted to update everyone on the problem and the fix. And again I thank EVERYONE for their help.
