Finally got myself a boat just need some help

i just bought a 1960 crestliner. with a johnson electramatic. but here is the thing thats all i know about this boat. the HIN is waz8733c1960 i would like to find out what kind of boat this is....if all possible. the model number for the motor is v4a-14l. and what hp is that????? i got the motor to run by crossing it over lol....... i need to rewire the boat and wouldnt be that hard if the guy i bought it from didnt cut the wires to cross it over. so i need to find the schematics for that type of boat.. i have been looking all day for them and cant seem to find any. Any one know where i can find some... the boat is in awesome shape for being 49 years old. and with a running motor and it floats.....i tested it.....and also has a trailer for 200 dollars.... i think i stole it from him lol ......well i live in spokane washington and want to get on the lake to do some fishing so any and all help would be awesome thank you very much for looking.

i tried that website and it doesnt work it says its the wrong HIN but thats whats on the boat and title...... any other ways????? its alil dark here to take any pics but i will try to post some up tomarrow......

yes i just looked agian at the title and the HIN on the boat but its a no go its kinda weird

The format of the HIN corresponds to something newer... probably because the boat pre-dates when they went to a uniform HIN numbering system...

The USCG check on the HIN indicates the boat is from "water ventures", and would be made sometime between 1983 and 2002... thats why you are getting an error with the history report because the numbers dont make sense in the new uniform system...

I don't know of any other way to check an old HIN, sorry...

As suggested it would be best to post some pictures so we can better assist you, and at least the brand of the motor so we can attempt to search that model #...

So look forward to seeing the pics when it gets lighter out

well i have a 60 hp johnson on mine ...its a 15' MFG gypsy royal and it moves me at about 32 mph what sise is your boat

and i wouldnt own anything but a johnson mine is a 1975 annd the boat is a 76 and everyone cant belive that when i start it it yakes right off no cranking needed...its like all i have to do is think it and it starts

cool cool my deck is fine i think some other owner replaced all that... thats good for me...... i just need to find some time to work on the boat.... do u know where is can get some schematics??? so i can turn it with a key and not by wire..... and that way i know its water worthy
