Finally hit the water!

Late April and finally the water temp is up enough - 67 F water temp with 85 F degree air temp! Easily surpasses the 100F test so it was time to hit the water today and do some wakeboarding.

Had several good runs but now I'm paying for it as my back is killing me!

Anyone else hit the water yet?

I wish, I'll be hitting the water next weekend! My water temp will proly still be under 60 lol but I always take my first run while its a bit chilly lol

We hit the water with 41 degrees of pure coldness. Wetsuit was our best friend. On the bright side, noone else wanted in so it was just 2 of us surfing.

I'm not quite as manly as Jason above...we boated and I dipped in the water for a quick break about 1.5 weeks ago, Jason's correct, 41* is pure coldness!

The boat has been out since early April. I went in the water last weekend for the first time. Pulled a muscle around my ribs. Grim! Could be a few weeks before I'm in again.

I made it out water skiing on Sunday May 11th on Thompson Lake Michigan. Water temp was 62.5 air 68. I had two great passes around the lake. 300 acres. The water was rough so I stayed in the wake for the 2nd pass most of the time.

I purchased a new O'Neill Epic II wet suit 4/3 and that really did a great job. No suit flushing warm as can be. I also had a Patagonia gloves and cap. This is 6 weeks earlier for me than last year. It is going to be a great season. I got up 2 or 2 with not problems.

Any Michigan Skiers?
