Well done Frank, get her out and give her a squirt and let us now how she goes, Im gonna round up some bits and give this a go myself, tell me just how difficult is it to reco a 3 cyl Chrysler, Ive looked at exploded diagrams and thought crikeys thats alot of bits and pieces in there, I have a full workshop manual and have all the tools so Im willing to have a go.

It is not very difficult at all. Nowadays I do them with my eyes closed. For your first one though, take a lot of digital photos as you disassemble it.

You will need mostly hand tools. A harmonic balancer puller or steering wheel puller really is necessary to remove the flywheel. If you intend to remove the rods from the pistons a press is necessary. Of course an inch pound torque wrench it the last special tool you will need.

When I do a three cylinder Force, I allow about 5 hours for disassembly and a like amount for reassembly.

Ok thanks frank, I have a press and torque wrench and all pullers a man could need, looking forward to this, I have a nice little 13 foot run about squirrelled away for a rainy day job, I might dig up an old 55 short shaft and give it the go over too.
