Bass runner - I think from my experience you will need more.

Start with the center stringer and finish it first, as you will have to sand the entire surface where you have to restart, if you run out of resin. Take one stringer at a time, you will know if you have enough to complete, then.

Good luck and watch your back. Get a six pack and take a break now and then.

JasonJ:
are you using the FREE or UPGRADED 250MBFree site? Either way how accomplished do you have to be to build a site like you have done?
Your site as well as your boat are first rate!

Jason like always very good work. Like you I hand did the graphics on my boat.. free style and a lot of fun. Nice web site also.
Could you give me a link to see the grabrails you need to take off to put your boat in the garage?

Like others I might have a idea or two.

I was (just in fun) going to give you a hard time about that thing under your boat called a trailer.. but figured NAW! I'm going to want some help from you and others in the near futher on my boat!
You do need to paint it to match your pretty boat though! White wall / Black wall, who is going to be looking at both sides at the same time anyway! :)

Link

Originally posted by JasonJ:
I mixed it a cup of each part at a time, pouring through holes that I had drilled ever two feet. I had the bow up as high as I could get it, and started at the back. I poured, and when the foam expanded to the hole, I placed the plug in and a weight on top. I went to the next hole and poured through it, again when the foam got to the hole I placed the plug in with weight on top. This causes the foam to fill properly yet have room to expand its way forward. If you pour with the boat level, you'll get big globs and voids, not what you want, especially if the foam is to provide partial structure to the floor. I did this with all my stringer voids except center void. The upward tilt with working your way from the back (lowest point) to the front (highest point) ensures the void is filled with no voids and it is providing a bit of structure.
Jason, what did you do when you got to the last hole? Did you just let it expand out the hole, let it cure, clean out the hole and plug it?

Re: Finished latest work on the Beast

I plugged the hole. I had four stringer voids to do, and the front ends of the voids had small openings, so any excess was going to go out those openings. Just the way it worked out for my setup.

I will add that I did not add more foam until the batch I had added was done expanding. I also kept an eye on the hull underneath, to make sure there was no wierd bulging. I could put my hand on the hull bottom and feel the heat from the foam.
