finished the 1956 Duracraft, 14 ft Duraflite, with the 58 35 hp Johnson. the trailer is even vintage. the colors, i picked because there is a yacht of this vintage, at the marina these colors, and it is beautiful. the front seats are 50's solid oak bar stools, back seat oak porch swing. Air horn on bow deck along with antenna. the only thing i'm waiting on is a $3.00 parts for the engine, throttle linkage. it starts, and runs, but can't adjust the carbs till i can stabilize the linkage.

Nice clean line's, i like the blond wood with the black outer hull, :D that hull is going to get hotter than hade's on a sunny day, How did you seal up that wood or what type of sealer? Im going to put some wood in upgrade im doing and the cost of teak.....well im not going to pay the piper there... It just worries me how long a the finish will hold up in a marine enviroment, im thinking of using a cherry wood...

When we were kids my father picked up a dual cockpit wood boat and guess who had to sand her down every couple of year's..... To this day i hate wood boat's no matter how beautiful they are..

the oak is polyurethane. the black floor is oil base rustoleum, 2 coats all sides. if it goes bad, it's only a 1/2 sheet of 1/2", and 15 screws.

Re: Finished, ugly to a gentle lady

things really sucked today, got the piece for the throttle linkage, and installed new inpellar, went to start it, running on one cylinder, lost a coil. so ordered new guts under the flywheel, and another weeks wait for shipping. i have no toy budget left for 3 months.
