guys,
say hello to the newest member of the marlin club. caught this guy (striped marlin ) out of Cabo San Lucas. It was not on my trophy but I had to crow a little about it anyway. sorry but the pics were taken with a disposable camera in slightly rough water, the boatside pic was the last one on the camera so I was unable to get a bow shot.

sorry guys, it says the picture of 586 KB is to large for the forums 97 KB limit

Re: first marlin

hey lyle, congrats on the bill fish, but shame on you for not bringing a real camera on a trip like that!!!! wish we could see more. I've never caught a bill fish before but have eaten smoke Marlin about 30 yrs ago and it was really good! what was the out come of his fate. in the blue or in you? :)

Re: first marlin

thanks frankie,
it was a business trip that just worked out to where I got to fish for a day... thus the reason for the disposable camera...he was a nice size striped marlin, the 8th one we saw that day, lost one early that was never really hooked on an islander, but this one was tossed a live mackeral and he could not refuse... an incredible experience... and this is no lie...I chartered a 30' boat complete with live bait and license for an 8 hour trip....for $ 300 Everything in Cabo is negotiable..........and yes I released him completely unharmed and HOOK-OUT this small pic to the left is all I can manage to post here........OK I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT...CLICK ON ATTACHMENT
