Fish boxes and macerator pump help !!!!

I have a 2008 Polar 2300 Center Console with two rear floor fish boxes. These boxes drain into my bilge but at the same time I have a macerator pump. What is the macerator pump use for then if the fish boxes drain into my bilge area ?

No, just a porta potty. I also ran some water on the floor where the porta potty is located and it went back also to the bilge.
