[ATTACIMAG0185.jpgIMAG0186.jpgIMAG0187.jpgH=CONFIG]165708[/ATTACH]IMAG0184.jpg So today is the first real rain weve had all summer. I noticed water pooling in the center of my cover (yes its a cheap universal lol) so i wanted to stop it. I went to the local hardware store and got a 6' x 3" piece of pvc with a 6" diameter floor flange for a base. Heres some pics if anyone has had this problem and feel free to suggest ideas.

I'd put a "t" on top with a couple arms to even out the load on the canvas.

Seems like that will work fine. I've got to get to the hardware store for some pvc myself. Universal cover that sags like I imagine yours did. I've been propping the center up with a dust broom, bristle side up, for a few weeks now. It actually works perfect but the neighbor laughs everytime I use it.

Add another post out front in the bowrider, and get that canvas peaked like it is at the windscreen. That'll get that pooling solved for you. PVC should work fine, I've also made posts for mine from wood dowels.

It actually is tight enough it runs right off the bow. Id be afraid i wouldnt have enough slack left for another pole.

You could shorten the one you have to give it enough slack to allow for the 2nd pole. As a matter of fact, I've seen guys that actually build a little "pvc doghouse frame" that sits in their boat and the top stays taunt with no pooling. That way, there's no fear of the single pole pushing through the material. I got one of those covers from Wal Mart and man do they hold water, lol.

Many have done the same thing and usually it works out very well. The one I made I used conduit because I can get scrap pieces from work so material is FREE!

My cover support is an adjustable paint roller handle, frisbee, 2 bungies and a piece of rope ;) Rope goes from the front cleat to the frisbee. bungies go from the frisbee to the rear cleats and the paint roller handle gets extended to hold the frisbee up. Cheap copy of something like this:

I have a cheap cover too, but use bungie cords on all the cover tabs. If they are too long, I wrap them an extra turn around the trailer frame, or double it back up to the cover. Much quicker to install than the lines you have. It really makes a difference in keeping the cover tight and sag free.

Go to grocery store....Ask for milk crates...Stack on top of each other. I use 4 in bow area, 4 in back. Strong, works perfect.

Enjoy.
