Fixed Tie-Down Problems

My factory Four Winns trailer has fixed tie downs. Nice feature at first, but now, both of them SUCK! I think the internal spring mechanism broke which doesn't allow the rachet straps to tighten down. Does anyone know how to fix them??? Thanks in advance.

those look like the boat buckle tie downs. They are replaceable, but a little pricey compared to normal tiedowns. I dont have them, so I dont know if they are rebuildable or not. I have ratchet motorcycle tiedowns for some other stuff, and sometimes the spring pops off to the side and wont allow them to ratchet.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head. That's exactly what's happening. I'll probably head over to Wally World and purchase some HD rachet straps then bypass those fixed ones altogether.
