Flat Spot 850 Merc

Have a 1975 850 85hp merc. At about half throttle the engine will start to bogg down an shut off unless I squeez the priming bulb. Then it will start to pickup speed and I can give it full throttle. I replaced the fuel pump last year.Any ideas on this one or should I just get a longer fuel line and run it past the driver's seat. Thanks!

I think you will have to rebuild the fuel pump again. If squeezing the primer bulb saves the engine, then it must be the fuel pump.<br /><br />-andy
