Floats OFF on Walboro Carbs on a 86' 50 hp Mariner?

When I 1st get out on the water, the engine accelerates fine but once I stop, fish a while, and then move on, it will not accelerate like it should. If I adjust the trim, it gets better but still not enough. I wondering if the floats are OFF causing the carbs to either flood or starve the engine. It has two carbs.

Open low speed mixture screws 1/8th turn ( repeat if needed after testing ) and see if the hesitation magically goes away.

Open means - counter clockwise? Thanks...I'll have to refer to my engine manual to determine where that screw on the carb is located. Hope this will work!
