Flooding in Nashville

I haven't seen any other posts about this yet so I thought I would mention the massive flooding we are having in Nashville. We got over 15 inches of rain over the weekend, up to 20 in some places, and downtown and surrounding areas of Nashville have flooded including the Titans Stadium, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Opryland Hotel. I was fortunate and did not have any damage but I know of a lot of people that lost their homes completely. It was so bad on Saturday that I-24 flooded so badly that a trailer floated down the interstate and ran into cars! I've added the video to it below.

Re: Flooding in Nashville

I spoke to my Dad in Clarksville, TN last evening and its bad there too. The Cumberland was 14' above normal and another 2-3' to go.

They ventured out yesterday to go to the hospital for an xray and almost didn't make it back home with all of the road closings. I wish he wouldn't take chances like that. He's 80 and dosen't see all that well. They had him rerouted to the interstate and a 15 minute ride took nearly 4 hours.

My best goes out to everyone affected by the flooding and tornadoes that came from this nasty storm.
