I know, this is a matter of opinion BUT... Im restoring a 1972 17' and just put in a new floor. its ready for paint (didnt want to go with gel coat) and Im trying to decide on a color. I bought brilliant white and plan to add non skid....Im thinking bright white might be a lot on the eyes in the sun. I have white seats and the deck is presently a flat white and the hull is a mustard. i want the boat to match, look good and be practical...OPINIONS PLEASE

I would never do white because of the glare issue. Some darker and low sheen would be my choice.

Glare is what sunglasses are for!

White is the right color for your combo.

White is a very popular color for a lot of boats... Whalers, Carolina Skiffs, Key West and lots of others.

It's hard to go wrong with a white interior.

White is nice ,, like in a bathroom or kitchen -- but a boat deck -- you gota be kidding !!
Ever wonder why the Navy paints their boats shades of gray ??
Spill the last swollow of red wine on your white deck and see what a stain is left, and Heaven Forebid, dropping a bleeding
fish on the deck . Think twice and paint once !!

I've got a boat with a white floor. Looks great. Cleans up well. If you like white, go white.

Thanks guys for your opinions...I ended up going with white...looks CLEAN (when the pine needles arent there) and it is easy to clean...

Used Chop strand 1.5oz over 3/4 ply...then sanded lightly to lower any high fiber spots. Then painted with West marine SEA GLOSS High gloss white with some non skid added in. Rolled on nice, and sets the boat off :)
