I have a 1980 Zodiac MK III GR that I am planning to use to circumnavigate Vancouver Island (700+ miles) with and would like to get the outerfloor fabric replaced. Does anyone know who can do this and what type of material my boat is made of?

The boat has always been stored inside and in great shape, but a recent trip up a small river produced many puncture holes from sticks and I am not sure how the material will hold up to ocean use. Any help will be appreciated.

Don't need to replace the whole floor fabric, just patch well damaged area with proper Hypalon or PVC fabric patches and 2 part Hypalon or PVC glues. Plenty info on the net on how to DIY....

Thanks for your reply. I thought replacing the floor would be better to pro-long the life of the boat. Yes or no?

The floor is not a perfect straight fabric as one would imagine at simple sight, has 2 flap like at all sides which are complex to glue if you don't have any gluing experience and probably costly work if done at a shop. Just patch holes properly and be done with it.
