You can use the epoxy there with the poly and put some in and clamp it down should work if your sure it's just a small area and you can get the epoxy into the entire area.

If you're certain the void issmall and limited to that spot, you should be able to inject something - epoxy or whatever sort of thickened resin you used in the first place- to fill the void. The main concern I'd have is the integrity of the bond between the transom and the shield generally.

I think I'm going to inject the epoxy. I'm planning on using ss nuts and bolts for the thru hull exhaust plus the top of the trim tab mount is right by there as well as the bottom mount of the swim platform which I plan on using ss bolts on as well instead of the screws.
