Re: fluke dmm

yes and no.....the fluke is very good at capturing pulses and giving a average reading which you can times by 1.414 which will be close to what a dva would read. But if the voltage is all over the place then the fluke might struggle. (cheaper meters tend to take snap shots of the voltage and will not stabilize)

thanks glen and pam for your quick responce. then all i do is multiply 1.414 x the ac volt reading that i get from stator? thank you very much for info have a good evening.:joyous:

May have not so good luck with Radio Shack. They don't have many parts these days.

Re: fluke dmm

depending on the model of 87 you have you can on some models just set it to min/max capture and the max will be the same or real close to a dva reading especially on a stator. Once you have built the dva adapter why not try both of the other methods and tell us what the results are using the 87*. Now before I get picked on I never said you can read a power pack pulse unless you had the 87v which is a faster meter and way to expensive to consider compared to a dva or dva adapter.

You might be right about that. The sampling on the min/max may be fast enough.
