Flying termite control

I have an infestation of termites.
They are in the walls and the little flying termites like to come out at night time(they are attracted to the lights).
Anyways, there are lots of them, lots!!!
My mother came to visit for a week and those stupid termites have to come out and fly around, freaking my mom out.
Does anyone have any quick ideas of how I can get rid of them?
Apparently the bug bombs are illegal now, and the landlord is not going to do anything about it this week.
A friend of mine gave me some liquid citris degreaser. He said to mix it with some lemon juice because the acidity will kill the termites. Does anyone know if this is true or not?
Thanks for any info.

Re: Flying termite control

The flying termites are not the immediate trouble, Chris. They are on mating flights and will start new colonies.

Killing them might prevent the new colonies, but the immediate problem is the colony that spawned them. . . the one in your house. Left to their own devices they will destroy it.

You need an exterminator, and soon.

Re: Flying termite control

thanks for the info JB. The landlord will be exterminating the house next week sometime.
Thank goodness this is a rental house and not my own place, especially since he is waiting until next week to do something about it!
I've sprayed the area where they were coming from, so hopefully that will help for now.
