Very hard. I tried doing the thing where you pry up on the edge and hit the end of the crank wtih a hammer to shock it loose. You can try that, didn't work for me, I ended up having to rent a puller. Autozone has them for rent, you give them a deposit and you get your money back when you return the tool.
