Flywheel removal

Hi all taken the plunge to see why my top pot isn't firing and trying to remove the flywheel
I've purchased a puller and removed to nut
But can't get it to budge
I'm currently soaking the crank end and key with wd40 but still nothing is moving
Any ideas

I had trouble removing mine on an OMC 115 turbojet. First you have to go to the hardware store and get grade 8 bolts to replace the ones that come with the puller. I snapped a regular bolt in the flywheel, luckily I got it out. then check the depth on the threaded hole with a thin tool. You don't want to run the bolts in to far to damage the stator, but if they are not in deep enough they will rip out pulling the flywheel threads with them. After that I got an impact gun and a hammer. Start turning the bolt on the puller till you see it has alot of pressure. then give the bolt on the puller a couple hits with the hammer, not to hard. wait a minute, then do it again. I did this 4 times tighten, hit, wait. then she popped off, it pops off and makes a loud noise you will think you broke something but that is normal. good luck.

Tighten and soak is the way to go. A rap with a hammer (nut covering the threads) is a good idea as well. Don't beat the crap out of her though.

PB Blaster is a much better penetrate than WD40.

A little heat can also help the really stuck ones too.

Throw the WD40 away and use the PB Blaster. And don't use heat on the flywheel as it can screw up the magnets.

......and make sure to lift up firmly on the puller when you hit it with a hammer.

He got it off before any responses....it's in one of his other threads.
He just couldn't be bothered to post that in this one.
Oh well, it's not his own time he's wasting. :facepalm:

Guys
Firstly my apologies, i'm new to forums and wasn't aware of the correct decorum.
I have now managed to get the flywheel off and replaced the coils that were completely delaminated, I am surprised that it managed to start at all.
I now have plenty of spark but i'm now chasing a problem with the idle circuit in the carb.
without going off track I am curious to ask if my heat exchanger pipework should be hot when the engine is running, mine is too hot to touch is that normal?
I have replaced the impeller and I'm getting a good amount of water out the tell tale, should I bleed this line, in fact does cooling water actually flow through it?

Never seen what motor it is? Not aware of any heat exchanger or plumbing in an out board. More info and maybe pics...?

Guys
dont know if I should start a new thread on this but answering Bonzoscott here is a pic of the engine showing the heat exchanger tube.
its the long silver tube running from the side of the engine to the choke on the carb.
