My rig came without any under deck foam and I'm going to add some, just wondering if putting foam in makes the boat sit/ride higher in the water or is it just for saftey ?

Just safety...any weight will make her sit lower.

Floataion foam is there so that if the boat swamps, or otherwise takes on water, it will float on the surface rather than sink completely. Gives you something to hang on to until help gets there.

What rig are you talking about ? .. 6' pram or 180 bowrider ..

You allready know your going to add foam...why ?

Does that apply to caged pigeons secured to the deck? What about during an ebb tide? Sorry, I had to lolz about the question.
