fogging cocktail for efi engine

Looking for exact mixtures for Volvo Penta EFI motor. The great and missed Don S, said that the 5 gallon mixture was meant for Volvo dealers and a 1 gallon mixture for 5 minutes is fine for DYERS,,,, so my question is the MERC vs VOLVO mixture bulletins
merc says 5 gallon gas with 64 oz 2 cycle oil or 12.8 oz oil per gallon
Volvo says 5 gallon gas with 50:1 ratio gas to oil or 2.56 oz oil per gallon

so how much 2 cycle oil do I use per gallon of gas for a Volvo engine???

It is interesting that Volvo calls out for a 50:1 ratio, whereas Merc calls for a 10:1 ratio. I guess you can go with the 50:1. Since the engines are both GM based, I would imagine the 10:1 would still be OK, unless you have Cat converters.

Over the years, fogging my Merc MPI's I have found that 1 gallon of mixture is plenty. . . even 1/2 gallon is enough.

Since I empty the fuel tank for winter, I mix about 5 gallons of the cocktail and pour it back into the tank and run the engines, rather than hooking up an auxiliary tank.
