What is your recommendation for fuel octane number for a 1995 Force 120HP? Couldn't really find it in the manual. I bought my boat few weeks ago with still 20 Gallon of fuel in it. I added 12 Gallon regular #87 to it (with bottle of Penzoil marine 2stroke oil), but wondering if this is okay.....

Thanks,

87 is the right octane, there are no proven perfomance gains by running higher octane (in my opinion).

87 or 89 is fine.

But.... many people are switching to non-ethanol gas for their boat motors. In my area, non-ethanol is only available in 92 octane.

Tater says it,no real gain. The ethanol is the problem.
They sell additives to compensate for E.
E in your car and it's not too big a problem. In your boat,it sets for long periods of time and it can actually seperate. It seems to draw more moisture.
So the cure is use your boat everyday and enjoy!!
