force 125 leaks gas from carb when in up position

Is this normal. A small amount of gas leaks from the carbs when I tilt the engine up for transport. No leaks when running.

I'm new to boating so it makes sense that gas would spill out of the carb when tipped but I'm wondering if there's a step I'm missing or if I have a problem or if this is just the way it is.

I've got a rag where it drips to keep the splashwell clean.
