Hi everyone,

its that time of year for me to request my beautiful GF (aka wife) a Christmas gift.

i wanted to change my current center console layout. i have 2 7'' HDS units and a VHF and radio.

i want to change the tach and fuel guages the speed guage is not that important to due to 2 chart-plotters.

budget is not too high but any advice (i.e brand, specifications also were to buy) will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I have a 88 Bayliner 21ft center console.
One thing you can do is mount the radio on the side of the center console.
It has a cover and won't be in the way.
Or mount it in the cabinet.
My VHF is mounted on the rhs where your weight sticker is.

I have a radio but it hasn't been turned on in 10years.

Are the 2 Lowrance products compatible?

Both depth finders?

Make sure they won't cause interference with each other????

yes Jerry they are very compatible... i have a hdstouch and gen 2.. coupled with a radar vhf and radio.

they are chartplotters/fishfinders, they work in harmony displaying all spectrum of a fishermans needs

thats why i dont need a speedometer i wanted to know how ppl would set up the instruments.

i cant seem to find a small 20 pole tachometer anyone know the tach im looking for? brand etc...

You can try Teleflex or Faria .
I've never seen one any smaller than 3-4 inches.
You might be able to rig a Tiny Tach??
Probably won't look good but it might work?

Yeah. Ive been looking for a small tach.. but i think its as common as chicken teeth.
3 inches should work but not 4

Back to the drawing board
