My neighbor had a 1989 5hp Force outboard (same as a Sears Gamefisher) that he bought for $50 sitting in a junk pile under a canopy. I told him that I'd put it in my barn and see if I could get it to work in my spare time. I got it to work, however, it needed some parts to complete the engine, and that's when I discovered that these Force engine parts are practically all no longer available except from old stock in EBay and used parts. The problem is that the people selling the parts appear to be in the business of profiting big time from cannibalizing used engines for parts.
