RRitt, if you are gonna recommend a place to buy parts, atleast recommend iboats MALL. As they are providing this site, please have the courtesy not to recommend their competitors.

Oh, and direct links to commercial sites are not allowed.
That includes ebay.

Just trying to warm you, as the mods will likely start deleting your posts pretty soon.

Happy Boating.

roscoe, i couldn't find fk1073. even a google search for "force fk1073" only returned five or six results. i try to find it on iboats mall first, but it is extremely difficult to find the parts with their search feature. when you stick in the force number or a description it seems to come back with ten pages of unrelated parts.

for example ...
search for force impeller # F4330652 and you get 74 pages of everything except a force impeller.
http://www.iboats.com/mall/index.cg...30652++&submit.x=17&submit.y=10&submit=Search

Mercury and Force part numbers refer to Mercury supplied parts, which are available only thru Mercury dealers.
No accurate or current cross reference exists, that I know of.

If you want to buy the Merc parts, go to a Merc dealer, or mercurypartsexpress.com, or mercruiserparts.com.

If you want to save a few bucks and buy aftermarket parts,
go to one of the many many many online parts dealers or NAPA parts store, and hope they sell you the right part.

If you want to order parts from iboats, forget the regular search, use the PARTSFINDER here:
http://www.iboats.com/mall/partfinder/*******.601407269&**********=391631534

All parts that are still available from Mercury, for your 507x7c engine, are listed here:
mercruiserparts.com/selectDocs.asp?doc_nbr=FOB4161

Re: Force 50 conks out as thottle increases

Smith,
My boat was doing somewhat what yours was. The problem with mine was the Needles, that are controlled by the floats, were sticking and not allowing gas to fill the bowl. I was running out of gas in the Bowls. The needles were then replaced 3 times, and finally the mechanic got it fixed. You might want to check this in your Carburetor.

I went through everything just as you did, spark, all the fuel lines and systems, and nothing. Finally I gave up, after replacing the needles twice and took it the Mechanic and he figured it out for me. Talk about a real hair puller, when you replace the parts and clean and clean the carbs and still no go.

He said the carbs were the cleanest ones he had ever seen brought to him, by a customer doing their own work. But I also cleaned them 3 times, while trying to figure it out.

Hope this will help you.

Bryan
