Force 50 Trim & Tilt won't work

I have an 89 Force 50 with a 2 piston Trim and Tilt.<br />Problem is: Pump won't lift motor anymore and when you lift motor with pump on and let go of motor it falls down.(unable to trim also).<br />Are these Valve bodies serviceable and/or where can I get a new or used pump????<br />Thanks

I can tell you a little about a Mercury tilt and trim that I had a problem with. I have no experance with a Force system. <br />What I ran into was a piece of dirt in the main relief valve. On mine there is and a adjustable relief. I turned it in and counted my turns first so I could put it back to the orgianial setting. Than I turned it all the way out and run the tilt. It must have had a piece of dirt in it because after I reset the relief it was ok.<br />It has been fine for two years. Maybe it will help you, if not go to www.outboardparts.com and look it up. It has alot about all motors and a good troubleshooting guide.<br /><br />Mark
