I recently changed the water pump of my 50 hp 1989 Force. No water comes out from the two little holes. I use the ear water connectors to feed the water. I'm unsure how to reinstall the copper water tube. I have the Seloc Manual and it does not explain how to do this. It seems to me that the fitting on top is too loose, the tube does not hold onto anything. I can feel the warm air coming through the holes with my hand but not a drop of water. There was also a seal that came out with the tube and I can't find the way to put it back. Also, this seal does not show in the graphics of the manual. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Joral

Re: Force 50hp water pump

You are correct in assuming something is wrong up top. If it pulled-out of the powerhead, and won't re-seat, you may have to pull the powerhead to find out why. It should stick up there, and hold it's own weight. If not, the seat in the block may be cracked. If so, it will have to be replaced. If the sleave that is cut into the block is cracked, you have a cracked block, I'm sorry to say. I wish I had better news. Of course, once you get to the bottom of the block, it may be just worn,or "wallered-out". In this case, you might be able to buy a thicker o-ring to fit it from a bearing shop.
