Force 85 Carburetor issues - HELP!

Hey Folks,

New here and have been reading some great posts!

I recently rebuilt all three carbs. Engine fired right up and ran great.... that is until I saw gas leaking out of the bottom carb at a pretty high rate.

Un-assembled and re-assembled the float bowl on the bottom carb to see if I might have installed the float tension springs wrong - after 3 times.... still leaking.

Frustrated now, I dissasemble all three float bowl assemblies and reassemble - bottom carb is fixed!!!
Now top one is leaking
Pouring gas actually, at an idle. If I ramp up the rpms, it still leaks, just not as bad.

I have included two pictures with arrows showing where the gas is leaking (it comes from both sides).

Anyone have any ideas?

im having the same problem check ur floats probably are full of gas which u will have to replace them or try solder repair

Floats are actually intact... and they float when I tested them in a bowl.

I have had that occur on occasion. A float adjustment always cured it.

Check floats for sure. Usually they're misadjusted. When priming with the primer bulb dont over squeeze..once it's firm it's done any more forced squeezing can knock the floats out of adjustment ALSO always keep the vent open on the tank especially on hot days. The pressure from the tank will take the path of least resistance (to the carbs) and can also bend the float adjustment tabs.
