JB , got a question. Got a LU that cracked from ice. Would that JB Weld possibly work in that area. It's the lower housing of the LU. The gears and bearings and shaft look to be OK.
Not sure if JB is around.<br /><br />So I will answer this.<br /><br />It is always better to Replace or Weld the gearcase. JBweld or others that are like that are temp fixes. They may hold forever...but they are not the proper way to do it.<br /><br />If a customer came into my shop and asked me to fix his gearcase with JBweld...I would refuse. Do it right or take it down the block to the other guy.<br /><br />TMD
