I have a 40hp force engine. It started out running fine for about 15 min then suddenly died. the bulb does not feel like it is pumping gas as there is little resistance but after I squeeze it about 20 times it will start and run until I put in gear then die. I checked bulb gas connections and doesn't seem like anything leaking. Again I pump it and it will start but die. have any ideas?

Have you checked the fuel pump diaphragm?

As Pnwboat mentions it is probably the fuel diaphragm, which may have a crack in it and letting fuel into the crankcase and eventually flooding it. Similiar thing happened to my 100 HP, but it would pump fuel straight through into the crank and run out of the motor.
Classic sign is the primer bulb won't get firm.
