Force motor stalls out above 2500rpm and won't restart?

ok, I'm stumped on this one. I have a 1985 125hp Force motor. Starts up like a charm. Idles fine. When I push it to 2500rpm - 3500rpm it runs great, for about a minute, then slowly bogs down and stalls out, and will not restart for hours. The primer bulb does not collaspe, and the carbs were just taken off and cleaned 2 weeks ago, along with new coil and spark plugs. Still having the same problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

You are on the right track (me thinks). It
sounds like fuel starvation. And since you
allready went through the carbs, back up to
the fuel pump/filter combo. Also, it wouldn't hurt to run a compression test on
it while it's down. The fuel pump won't
work very well without plenty of compression.
In order for the primer ball to collapse, the tank must be not be venting or pick-up tube plugged, and a strong fuel pump, drawing in fuel faster than it can be drawn from the tank.So your ok there.
