I have a 1989 Bayliner Capri with a 125 Force outboard motor on it. In the driveway water comes out of propeller and little water comes out of pee hole. I'm thinking its a water pump issue. What do you guys think?

Re: Force Outboard Motor

I believe that motor has a snout that most of the water comes thru.
If it has a telltale than it should pee when running on the hose or in the river.
If your hose doesn't supply enough water then it won't pee or pump right.
Just change the impeller anyway.Inspect the old impeller(pics).
Just remember:if your worried then replace/fix it.
Test the heat sensor see if it's working.Just ground it at the terminal.Orange wire to ground.
Key on and it should make the buzzer sound.
Profile?? You might be close to someone who can help.

Is it overheating? If not, don't try fixing something that aint broke, although replacing an impeller as maintenance is never a waste of time and money.
In the driveway, on muffs, usually a spray of water will exit the idle releif vents in the back and more will exit through the exhaust.

What you described is absolutely norm on Force 125! Unless of course you have overheating problems.

Do the water pump replacement and make sure the water pickup tube has a good
Seal when fit into water pump housing. With muffs in driveway you will only see a small amount of water coming out of pee hole should spray a bit though. Most will
Exit out the exhaust outlet end of prop. Do make sure you have enough water
pressure to the muffs. Water should be a steady spray stream at the pee hole when on the water. I replace my impeller and inspect pump housing every year just to be safe.
