Hey guys,

We have a 1985 Force 50hp that i have some questions about. We got it from my grandpa's old boat and hasn't been ran in 10-15 yrs. So we got it running and sheared some timing keys and figured it was the coils and not having the flywheel torqued down enough. The coils were cracked so i got some new coils in and plan on putting on the new coils, new key and lappin the flywheel to the crank and crankin it down 80-100 ft lbs? What is the torque for the flywheel?
Since it hasn't been ran in a long time also, im ordering FK1073 waterpump kit and have questions on what should all be replaced? Are there any seals for the leg to replace everytime it is seperated? any bushings or seals around the gears or the prop that should be replaced while its apart? If there is, i want to get it all ordered together so its already to work on for when Ice out comes soon.

Thanks

If there is any water in the lower you'll need to re-seal.
Otherwise there is nothing that needs to be changed other than the impeller and any gaskets in the kit.
95# on the nut.
