I assume you motor has a tstat ... I would take it out and check opening temp. You will also be able to see whether you have salt buildup then as well. Do you have an engine temp gauge or just hot horn? How do you know it's running hot?
Billy,<br /><br /> You can by a temp gauge and I recommend that you do. Takes alot of the guessing out of the picture. Most Force engines have a plug on top of the head right above the thermostat. If not do what I did. They make a "Z" bracket that mounts to a head bolt on one side and the sensor mounts into the other. The sensor makes contact with the head surface(make sure you remove paint where it touches head)then it reads the temp. Locate it near the top of head that is usally the hottest part. Very accurate and some good piece of mind. Good Luck
