Forgot year of 150HP Mercury idle problems

I forgot to mention the year of the Mercury engine with too rich idle adjustments. The year is 1994. Also how many turns from closed should I open the idle adjustment screws to a starting position?<br />Thanks

Accoriding to the clymer manual, table 3, general specications for synch and link adjust: 1-1/2 turns from lightly seated position.
